Subtle energy

Subtle energy is a term which refers to the force that connects everything. In different cultures it is known by different names: reiki, Chi, Prana, and Ki are some of the more usual.

Unfortunately there is no real agreement on what it is or how it works. My favorite description is "The Chi is everything."

It can be used to perform odd things - certain objects (for example crystals) can be used to bend it into a healing/killing energy. Many martial arts use it as a weapon. It is the energy used when we clean our chakra's. Fung shui works by bending and controlling it.

A big problem with it is that many new age workers use it indiscriminately in the form of white light etc. When an overdose is experienced strange thing happen - white outs, odd words jumping out of the mouth etc are common. An overdose can be solved by grounding - run around on the grass in bare feet, hug a tree or see a movie. Other things will help to.
